What Is GameForge Guild?
An after-school coding guild where young learners become creators — not just consumers — of technology.
GameForge Guild is a small-group coding club for ages 9–12, designed to introduce the foundations of programming through structured, hands-on game creation.
The programme runs in focused 6-week blocks, with 90-minute sessions once per week. Students learn core programming principles in Java before transitioning into creative coding with Processing to build simple, interactive games from scratch.
This isn't passive screen time.
It's creative problem-solving.
It's logical thinking made visible.
It's confidence earned through building something real.
Students don't just "learn to code."
They begin thinking like engineers — understanding how systems work, how games respond to input, and how ideas become playable experiences.
- Programming basics: variables, logic, loops, methods
- How games use movement and coordinates
- Keyboard input and player interaction
- Simple object-based coding
- Adding score and feedback systems
- Building and presenting their own playable game
