Luke

Founder & Lead Instructor · GameForge Guild

Luke founded GameForge Guild to make coding feel practical, creative, and genuinely exciting for young learners.

He is currently studying Computer Science with Games and Media, while building his own game projects alongside university. His focus is simple: help students understand how games actually work ... not just by watching, but by building.

Luke has spent many years working with children through swimming instruction, martial arts coaching, and Clip ’n Climb sessions. That experience shaped his teaching style: calm, structured, encouraging, and patient when things inevitably break.

And in coding, things do break. Learning to persevere, problem-solve, and try again is part of the lesson.

Luke’s aim is to give students a space where they can ask questions, test ideas, make mistakes, solve problems, and leave thinking:

“I built that.”

Proven Coaching Experience

Luke has spent years working with young learners in sports and activity instruction. Here is what parents have to say about his teaching style:

"We’ve seen a massive change in our son's confidence since he started training with Luke. He used to hold back in group settings, but now he's much more willing to step forward and get involved. Luke has a real knack for bringing kids out of their shells, and we can genuinely see the difference in his self-esteem."
— Tammy K., Parent of former self-defence student
"Luke is a fantastic instructor. The sessions are clearly structured and disciplined, but the kids are genuinely enjoying themselves the whole time. It never feels chaotic, and it never feels overly strict either — he just gets the balance right."
— Wendy T., Parent of former coaching student
"Luke is a total breath of fresh air. He seems to have such a natural, charming way with the kids and keeps them completely focused. It's the one club I actually look forward to the school-run for! He’s just brilliant."
— S., High Wycombe
"My son has some specific additional needs and can find new environments overwhelming. At the Clip'N'Climb SEND session, Luke was calm, patient, and seemed to instinctively understand how to support him without drawing attention to it. That meant a lot to us."
— Parent, Buckinghamshire
"Luke hosted a session for our mixed Scout group and handled it confidently from start to finish. He kept everyone engaged, explained safety clearly, and maintained control of the room throughout. The parents told us their kids were talking about it for days afterwards."
— Beaver Scout Leader, High Wycombe
"It’s hard to find instructors who are both reliable and genuinely professional. Luke’s communication is always clear, and he’s very organized with his sessions. It gives me peace of mind knowing my son is learning from someone capable and dependable."
— L. H., Parent

A Note from the Founder

In Luke’s own words.

“I’m a Computer Science student who loves building things, especially games.

The more I’ve learned, the more I’ve realised coding is not magic, and students do not need to be ‘tech wizards’ to begin. It is a skill built by trying, fixing mistakes, and improving step by step.

I grew up fascinated by games, but I never really had a space where I could learn how they were actually made. GameForge Guild exists to give young learners that chance earlier, to understand how games work, how systems respond, and how an idea can become something playable.

More than anything, I want the Guild to spark curiosity and excitement in young creators, and help them gain the confidence to bring their own ideas to life.

Before starting the Guild, I spent years working with young people through swimming instruction, martial arts coaching, and activity sessions. Those experiences taught me how important patience, structure, encouragement, and confidence are when someone is learning something new.

If students leave having built something real and feeling more capable than when they arrived, then the Guild is doing exactly what it was created to do.”
